Media
Users may upload photographs, selfies, inspection images, drawings, and documents. These are used only for operational purposes - verification, documentation, quality assurance, customer support, operational compliance and auditing - and are never used for advertising or marketing.
Cyond Diagnosis does not request broad access to the device photo or media library. Where an engineer attaches an existing image, the Android system Photo Picker (or camera capture) is used so that only the selected item is shared with the app.
Location Data Collection and Usage
The Cyond Diagnosis application may collect real-time and periodic location information of authorized engineers and personnel during the course of their duties, including but not limited to login, attendance, duty verification, site visits, customer appointments, starting and closing inspections, report submission, and other work-related events.
Location is collected while the application is in use (foreground / while-in-use location). The current Cyond Diagnosis build does not request Android background location permission. Location is used only for legitimate operational purposes including attendance verification, duty tracking, appointment management, customer-site verification, inspection workflows, fraud prevention, safety, and operational compliance. Location is never used for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Such information is collected for the purposes of attendance verification, appointment management, service optimization, customer-site verification, operational monitoring, quality assurance, internal auditing, fraud prevention, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Location data is used solely for legitimate business purposes and is accessible only to authorized personnel. Cyond does not sell, rent, or use location information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Geofencing
To verify inspection authenticity, Cyond Diagnosis may perform customer-site geofencing. When an engineer starts or completes an inspection, the application may verify that the device is located within approximately 100 metres of the booked customer premises. This verification helps ensure inspections are conducted at the correct location, improves service quality, prevents misuse, and supports operational compliance.
Customer Location (Cyond Kavach)
With your permission, Cyond Kavach may use an approximate or precise location to help determine or confirm your service address. Providing location is optional - customers may manually enter an address if they choose not to grant location permission.
Photo Verification and Identity Confirmation
The Cyond Diagnosis application may require engineers and authorized personnel to capture and upload photographs or selfies at the time of login or during specified stages of the inspection process, including attendance and other operational verification stages.
These photographs are collected for identity verification, uniform and operational compliance verification, prevention of unauthorized access, and for internal quality-control and audit purposes.
Online Support Video & Voice Calls (Cyond Diagnosis)
Authorized Cyond engineers and HQ / franchise support staff may use the in-app Online Support feature to start audio or video calls during an active inspection. For this feature the application may request camera and microphone permissions.
During a support call we may process live camera video (when enabled), microphone audio, call session metadata (participants, timestamps, session identifiers), and optional call recordings uploaded to Cyond’s secure storage for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, operational compliance, and internal auditing. Call recordings are never used for advertising or marketing. Access is limited to authorized personnel and retained only as long as needed for service, support, security, legal, and auditing requirements.
Push Notifications
Cyond Kavach may send notifications regarding booking confirmations, appointment reminders, engineer assignments, inspection progress, payment updates, work order updates, and customer support messages.
Cyond Diagnosis may send notifications regarding assigned jobs, inspection workflows, Online Support call requests or status, and other operational alerts for field engineers.
Users may disable notifications through their device settings; some operational features may then be less timely.
Storage, Security, and Retention
Photographs, location data, booking information, inspection reports, and related records collected through the Platform are stored securely and protected through reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. Where applicable, information is transmitted using encrypted communication channels.
Such information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill service delivery, customer support, security, operational, administrative, legal, and auditing requirements, after which it may be deleted, anonymized, or archived in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
Customer account sessions for Cyond Kavach may remain active for an extended period (multiple months) and may be refreshed when you continue using the app, so that you do not need to log in repeatedly. You can clear app data on your device if you wish to end a local session.
User Consent
By accessing or using Cyond Diagnosis, Cyond Kavach, or our other services, users acknowledge and expressly consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use of their information, including location information and photographs, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Where required by Android, permission requests for location, camera, microphone, notifications, or limited media selection (via the system picker) are displayed by the operating system and may be managed through device settings. Users may withdraw permissions through their device settings at any time; however, certain features, including attendance verification, inspection workflows, location-based services, and identity verification, may not function correctly without the required permissions.
